Urge Illinois Hospitals to End Discrimination

From the Human Rights Campaign:

Tell your hospital association to protect LGBT patients and families now! The Joint Commission – the largest organization that accredits hospitals nationwide – has announced that, in the future, all hospitals in America will need to have a non-discrimination policy for LGBT patients on their books. But we need to do everything we can to ensure these new protections are implemented and enforced as soon as possible. By acting right now to put strong pressure on state hospital associations, we can help stop more horror stories of LGBT patients being met with hostility. Whether you have a personal story about healthcare discrimination, or you’re simply someone who believes strongly in equality – tell your state hospital association that these changes need to be made NOW. Your letter can make a big impact, especially if you include a personal story of what this issue means to you.
